What have you substantially done this year? Did you meet any of your goals? If not, do you wish that you had fulfilled more? It is possible. You can do it by next year. You should never second-guess yourself. You can do anything you set your mind to. You have the power within to make things happen the way you want for the upcoming year. This time next year, you will be able to answer definitively when asked what you have accomplished.
Remember, every year, you get one year older. We all do and so do I. If there are no changes next year, you have added one year to your life and still in the same place you were twelve months before. This has to change and you can change it. Below are four things you can do ignite and awaken your life for next year. You can take control and change your life.
Making a decision
The first thing you need to do is to make a decision what you want to accomplish. Be precise and be realistic. If not, you won’t be able to achieve your goals. Visualize it in your mind and believe in your vision. It can come to pass if you truly stick with it and maintain your focus.
To stay on track, make sure you have a reminder of your goals each day. Make a vision board and put it in a visible place where you will see it every day. If one of your goals, for example, is losing weight, cut out a magazine picture of someone that you would like to look like. Put this on your vision board. Beside the picture, post a current picture of yourself too. This will motivate you to exercise and eat right in order to achieve your weight loss goal.
No one can motivate and encourage you – like you! What you say out of your mouth will, in most cases, materialize. So you don’t want to speak negative about yourself. Whenever you find yourself moving towards the negative, immediately change your thoughts and words. You can control your own destiny with what you say and think. Before the negative thoughts come into play, practice positive affirmations throughout the day.
Stop saying you are going to do something and still not do it. This is called procrastination. Once you take even the smallest steps, it propels you into the right direction. If you want to be debt-free, for example, do some moonlighting after work and start a special savings account for those funds to pay down your debt. If you are trying to lose weight, start taking short walks in the mornings until you can increase your time. No matter how small the action, it will move you more toward your goal.
Following these steps above will put you ahead of the game and give you more impetus to follow your dreams and fulfill your goals. What have you done lately to ignite and awaken your best? Let’s hear your comments below.
