Motivation Concept

Do you feel like you are going around in circles and just can’t find your way to a place of peace and tranquility? Do you constantly wish you were doing something other than what you are currently doing for a living? If your answer is yes to that question, then what you need is a formula for successfully finding what your purpose really is and why you were created to be in this world that you live in.

If you are not fulfilling your purpose then something must be missing in your life because all of us were created for a specific purpose. There are a lot of people who seem to be unable to figure out what their real purpose is. If you are one of those people, then the first place to start would be to do a self-evaluation. What are your strengths, skills and talents? The answer should be able to give you a beginning towards your future.

Have you ever wondered why some people seem to have it all together and know the exact course they want to follow and yet some wander along aimlessly in life? If you live your life without a purpose, you will end up living someone else’s vision and goal. To find your purpose is to find your true self. Who really are you? What is it that motivates you? What is your passion? If you only had 24 hours left to live, what would be one thing you would like to fulfill in terms of accomplishment and making a difference in the world? These are questions that will help you to evaluate yourself.

Some people don’t want to think about these things because of fear. The fear of finding out that their purpose is too much for them to handle on their own will be the deciding factor as to whether they follow their purpose or not.

Uncovering your purpose holds no secret formulas except being courageous to face your future with delight and passion. Take a few seconds to answer these questions about what you do for a living. These questions will confirm if you are living your dream or someone else’s.

o Are you actually doing the exact kind of work that makes you want to jump out of bed each morning excited to begin a new day?
o Is this what you were meant to do?
o Would you do what you are doing without getting paid for it?
o Does your work satisfy a deep longing within you to express yourself, your talents, and your core values?
o Does your work allow you to have a balanced life – one that leaves time for family and friends, having fun, time for exercise or hobbies, or for just you?
o Is it possible that you are not doing what you love and loving what you do?

Take time to sit down and write a personal mission statement and a desire statement. Writing your vision down helps to give you clarity into making the right steps in changing your situation for a desired outcome and it will bring you closer to your purpose. Set some written realistic goals to accomplish your mission. Do it one step at a time. This is something new to you and you don’t want to get too overwhelmed and frustrated.
To improve yourself and find your life’s purpose may require that you hire a personal life coach or join a group of like-minded individuals who can mentor and motivate you to believe in yourself. It only takes one action from you to get you started on the road to a purpose-filled life.
