No one likes sagging skin. In fact, most women try to avoid it all cost. Yet, some women don’t have a clue on how to get rid of their aging and sagging skin. As you get older, this is bound to happen, but it also happens to young women who lose weight. Below are several tips on how you can avoid this.
Get your skin toned. This can be done with regular exercise; at least three times per week, but not just any exercise. You want to do exercises that tighten your muscles and make them firm. When your muscles are toned, it tightens your skin. Try strength training using weights, but combine this with aerobic exercises such as walking or jogging. You can even jump on a trampoline, if you want to feel like a kid again. It strengthens your leg muscles.
Manage your Weight
When you quickly lose a lot of weight, you may have sagging skin; especially if you don’t include weight training into your daily routine. It is best to lose weight gradually, though, rather than quickly. One or two pounds each week is enough weight to lose at one time. It is healthy and moreover, helps you to avoid the crash diets. If it is difficult to manage your weight, go on a weight management program, if you have to – somewhere like Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers.
Many Americans are stuck on yo-yo dieting to lose weight. Many try to take pills and potions and yet still eat the junk food that packs on the pounds. Stay away, as much as you can, from junk food. Include fruits, whole grains, proteins and vegetables in your diet. It helps to keep you healthy and retain your skin’s elasticity.
Firming Lotion for the Skin
A good firming lotion is ideal for tightening your skin. There are many to choose from and not all of these may give the same results. Do your research and sometimes, you might have to try the trial and error method until you find the one that suits and helps you the most. At least, your skin will stay moisturized in the process.
I cannot say enough about sunscreen. Always wear your sunscreen under your makeup when exiting your home. Never go out without it, even if you are not going to the beach. The exposure to sun is not good for your skin and overtime, it will show in the loss of elasticity of your skin.
Take care of the one commodity that people see first – your face. Always use moisturizing creams – both night and day. This will help to remove wrinkles and fine lines, which are a prerequisite of sagging skin. Pay attention to products with Vitamin A and C, which help with the retention of elasticity and good for sagging skin.
Avoid Sugar Intake
Sugar intake is inevitable, but you can curtail how much you consume. The more sugar you include in your diet, the more acne and bad skin you will have. If you can avoid it altogether, you should do so.
