Every woman wants to have long lashes that look natural. Most women depend on mascara to give them eye popping effect. The key is purchasing the type of mascara that will deliver on its promise of long and lushes lashes. Of course, you should look for mascaras that offer plumpness, curl, length and waterproofing. Here are some noticeable brands that you could consider. These came out on top, but it depends on what you are trying to achieve.
Separated& Defined Lashes
If you want your lashes to separate and look defined, the Maybelline Define-A-Lash is ideal. The NYC High Definition mascara came in second, especially for separating the lashes. Use of the Maybelline product resulted in thicker and longer lashes with a dramatic effect. For a smoother and easier application, the NYC product was better. It gives the lashes a feathered appearance. However, both of them could be worn all day without smudging.
Long & Voluminous Lashes
If you are looking for very long lashes, Maybelline XXL extensions mascara and Neutrogena Healthy lengths carry their weight. Of course, there is an extra application with the Maybelline brand. You have to put on lash primer, which gives your lashes length, volume and definition. Your lashes won’t feel heavy, but soft and natural. However, the Neutrogena provided more length to the lashes. Don’t put on too much lash primer when using the Maybelline product or it may smudge. If you don’t want to use lash primer, then Neutrogena would be better because it is only one quick application and you don’t have to reapply throughout the day.
If you are looking for mascara that provides waterproofing capabilities, Urban Decay Cannonball Ultra Waterproof mascara and Laura Geller at Long Lash Waterproof Conditioning High-Gloss mascara are the two choices. These two brands provide the same amount of waterproofing effect. Laura Gellar, however, is thicker and better for women experienced in applying mascara. Urban Decay is much softer in applying and is easier to wipe away using a makeup remover. For a fashionable and dramatic look, however, Laura Geller is the pick. For a softer and eye popping look, Urban Decay should be considered.
Rimmel Sexy Curves Full Body mascara and Wet ‘n’ Wild Mega Wink mascara are ideal for gals who want curling lashes. However, Wet ‘n’ Wild curled better. Rimmel was a much higher quality product, though. Wet ‘n’ Wild will give you a longer curl, even after 10 hours of application. Rimmel, though, not able to keep a longer curl will deliver volume and length all day long.
For natural lashes, go for Cover Girl NatureLuxe Mousse mascara or Physician’s Formula Organic Mascara. Cover Girl is preferable because it makes your lashes look more natural. In addition, it doesn’t run and can be easily removed with makeup remover. For those gals who prefer to look ‘made up,’ the Physician’s formula is better. It provides defined and voluminous lashes.
Mascara is something of a personal preference for every woman. However, with these reviews, you will have a better idea of which to choose. Do you have any personal experience with any of these products and do you have any that you would like to share with our readers? Leave your comments below.
