As we get older and mature, most of us gals have to deal with anti-aging, wrinkles and fine lines. Though, we may try over-the-counter products, these may not help right away. I don’t try to guess this thing anymore because I am the first to admit that I don’t know everything. With trial and error, I have found what works and what doesn’t. Of course, I understand that you have to take your skin texture into consideration. So I do consider this when making my suggestions below. My anti-aging regimen every night is to correct previous and future skin damage. In the mornings, I use products to protect my skin from the sun and you can too. In the evening, I bring out the ‘anti-aging big guns’ of topical creams. For example, I look for products that have Vitamin A, B3 and C. I also look for items with glycolic acid and peptides. If you have sensitive skin like I do, you might want to test the product first for any irritation. I try to avoid products with too much alcohol ingredients. Take the nightly journey with me and see how you can rejuvenate and nourish your own skin.
OK, the most important thing for me gals is the cleaning aspect. I use the delicate Clarisonic Mia brush every other night, only because I have sensitive skin and when I use it every night, it seems to make my skin dry out. But, this little magic tool is the trick to getting all those deeply clogged pores open. You want to barely touch your skin with it and move in a circular motion. Don’t press it into your skin or you will clean the skin off your face. Skim the surface of your skin in small circles around even your chin, mouth, forehead and neck, barely letting it touch the surface of your skin. This tool is a Godsend. It takes out every single thing that is in your pores. I swear by Clarisonic Mia. I have given it to my granddaughter in college and almost everyone I know.
I reach for my Revision brightening face wash. You can get this product online. In fact, you can buy all the Revision Skincare products online. I apply the face wash to my entire face and neck. I don’t just wash it off either. I use a clean washcloth and gently wipe my face a couple of times.
I NEVER use the Vitamin C at night, though. Never, never! I do use my hydrating serum and eye cream. Every other night, though, I use my Retinol. Now, you gotta have Retinol, OK! For me, it was a little harsh at first when I started applying it, but I have worked up from once a week to every other day. You have to kind of test it on your skin type. It peels and flakes, but by time morning comes and you do your facial wash, it will all come off. Those fine lines begin to diminish before your eyes…incredible! I then put on my Revision firming night treatment – a thicker moisturizer. I never go to bed without my Li Lash. It makes your eyelashes grow thicker and longer in as little as three weeks. Apply a little across the top of your eyelashes. This is the process I go through every night if I want to look younger and fresher in the mornings.
Even though, this might seem like a lot of steps to follow, it is really not. As soon as you get used to it, you will breeze through it. Apply each product one at a time – in the same order as I did. Your skin will enjoy the results. Do you have any skincare regimen that you would like to share here? Please leave your comments below.
